Nestled in the heart of Lake Mary/Heathrow, Florida, this project is a testament to the transformative power of design. Inspired by the warmth and vibrancy of the Mediterranean, Turquoise and coral hues were carefully selected to infuse the space with energy and personality, while maintaining a cozy, inviting feel.
The addition of a gas fireplace became a focal point, enhancing both the functionality and visual appeal of the room. The mantle, sourced from a local company that used repurposed wood from an old barn, adds even more character to the space.

One of the most remarkable features of the project was the integration of a tray ceiling, painted in a soft, pale blue to mirror the hues of the rug below. This simple yet effective detail tied the room together, creating a seamless and harmonious design. But no project is without its challenges. Coordinating the installation of the gas firebox and venting through the tile roof required precision and expertise. However, the team’s dedication and meticulous planning ensured that these challenges were overcome, resulting in a stunning final result. The once unused sitting room is now a central hub of the home, and the homeowners have shared that they now use the space daily.
